We, who refuse to kill or be killed, declare June 21st as Desertion Day – a day for all who have defied war by stepping out of its machinery. This is a day to celebrate life, not death. We are not heroes of history books, but survivors of conscience.
A deserter is not a traitor. A deserter remains faithful to what makes us human: compassion, conscience, and the will to choose. In every war, someone stands up and says: No! This is not my war!
On the longest day of the year, when light overcomes darkness, we remember that even in the most militarized times, there are those who refuse to pull the trigger. The act of desertion is a cry against war – and a whisper of hope for the world beyond it.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED?
